Wadden’s work reminds me strongly of Anni Albers’s artworks. Seeing what the two have done, I am quite compelled to try out weaving. I never have seen a weaven “painting” in person so I can imagine how the colour and texture would look like from far away and from a close distance. One positive thing I could think about using wool instead of paint is that there is no need for mixing colours. One of my OCD’s or things that concern is that Once I am happy with a specific colour, there is no way I would be able to recreate it. I have been documenting the quantity and ‘recepies’ of my colour mixing, but there is always uncertainty. Wool from my perspective looks like a save, ‘straight out of tube’ like colour.
